Operations

The Head of Risk will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of the HBL AMC’s Enterprise Risk Management framework.

Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible to identify, monitor and mitigate the risk taken by HBL AML, its funds and associated concerns while managing risks across all areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead risk initiatives that support our Company’s growth objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required Competencies to successfully perform:

  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial markets, and risk management tools.
  • Sound understanding of mutual fund industry

Required Education & Experience:

  • Min Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a reputable / HEC recognized institution.
  • Master’s degree and CFA will be preferred.
  • Experience with risk reporting, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA etc.) are a plus.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience within the Financial Services or Asset Management Industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the processing of transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.
  • Assist in reconciling balances with custodians and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor and resolve exceptions, discrepancies, and inquiries related to mutual fund operations.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related.
  • Support projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Required Competencies:

·      Knowledge of Fund Management System of CDC for uploading various transactions.
·      Having good command of MS Excel for data presentation
·      Knowledge of WHT/CGT calculations.
·      Knowledge of Taxation and Knowledge of Monthly Income Plans and different operations transactions.

Required Education & Experience:

Minimum Bachelor’s from HEC recognized university
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
