The position will be responsible for managing the research department and actively contributing to the investment committee besides ensuring that all research publications meet quality standards and timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of vigilance on economic, financial and political developments which might affect market trends & subsequently portfolio returns.
  • Ability to manage team of research analysts and guide them to ensure quality output.
  • Run the affairs of research department to ensure coverage of sectors and stocks including small cap required by the IC and timely production of reports.
  • Assist the Investment Committee in identifying attractive investment opportunities both in equity and fixed income markets by detailed, and extensive analysis of investment portfolios with the aim of driving effective decision-making and maximizing return.
  • Act as Secretary to the Investment Committee and ensure that IC presentations and minutes are prepared on time.
  • Attend analyst / corporate briefing and perform physical visit as & when required
  • Maintain Industry / sector analysis on advisory portfolios and provide input in order to make prudent investment decisions
  • Assist business development by joining them on client visits, if required, and help with designing of term sheets and pitch books
  • Any other assignments given by the supervisor as and when required

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree from a recognized institution
  • Preferably CFA qualified
  • Minimum six years of relevant experience

  • In depth knowledge of investing in Capital Markets and dynamics of different sectors
  • Be able to perform fundamental analysis of the stocks and assist the investment committee in identifying attractive investment opportunities
  • Conduct extensive research on companies & make suggestions for investments in the equity and fixed income market, including proposals for TFCs
  • Understanding of macroeconomic environment and indicators
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain financial data of Markets and Companies
  • Any other assignments assigned by the supervisor as and when required

 

Required Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge & understanding of Equity Market Dynamics.

  • Good Communication skills (written and verbal both).

  • Knowledge of NBFC regulations and mutual fund sector;
  • Knowledge/contacts with management of companies under research coverage, market participants such as brokers, advisors / investment bankers/lead arrangers, company management, etc.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a reputable / HEC recognized institution, CFA/MBA is preferred
  • Minimum fresh or 1 year of industry’s relevant experience

Position Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing the research database infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and availability, and supporting the investment research team with timely, relevant, and well-structured data for decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Update the Morning News File daily, including fund returns, benchmarks, and market statistics.

  • Prepare the Daily Performance Sheet reflecting returns of all industry funds.

  • Develop Investment Committee (IC) presentations on a weekly basis.

  • Update IC meeting minutes drafts weekly.

  • Prepare AUM (Assets Under Management) presentations for the industry monthly.

  • Update databases and presentations for FMRs, Director Reports, etc.

  • Provide presentations for quarterly Board and Town Hall meetings.

  • Handle miscellaneous database queries for Sales, Risk, Fund Management, and other departments.

  • Maintain a financial accounts database on a quarterly basis.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable and HEC-recognized institution.

  • 1–3 years of experience in data management, financial analysis, or research support, preferably in asset management.
