Assistant Manager Applications Support

Position Description:

The role coordinates end-user client relationships, while responding to both critical and routine application support requests, and interfaces with vendors and consultants for development and support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications and suggesting improvements.
  • Support in updating application configuration as needed to meet the business requirements.
  • Support in maintaining application configuration including user security.
  • Interface directly with software vendors and consultants for development and support.
  • Provide assistance to the team end user and technical training to business and inter-department personnel.
  • Assist in knowledge base documentation and training materials for End User Support (EUS).
  • Ensure period backups of the applications.
  • Assist in audit activity.
  • Should be able to develop custom software applications.
  • Should be able to implement and test APIs.
  • Working knowledge on databases such as Oracle Enterprise 19C, MySQL, and MSSQL.
  • Maintaining record of configuration changes and application updates.

Required Competencies to successfully perform:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Knowledge of Dot Net, Rest APIs, PHP and databases such as MSSQL, Oracle and MySQL.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferable in Computer Science from a reputable / HEC recognized institution.
  • Masters is preferred.
  • 3 – 4 Years of relevant experience
