Position Description

The Senior IT Officer is responsible for providing advanced technical support to end users, managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring efficient troubleshooting for all desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices. The role requires collaborating with the IT team to resolve escalated issues and optimizing processes for a smooth workflow.

Job Responsibilities

  • End-User Support: Provide prompt, front-line support for all desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues for end users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Track and document support tickets to ensure prompt and accurate issue resolution.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, and scanners, according to organizational standards.
  • Ensure software installations and updates are performed efficiently to meet user and business needs.
  • Collaboration and Issue Escalation: Work closely with other IT team members to resolve escalated issues and ensure team knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a resource for advanced troubleshooting and guidance on complex technical challenges.
  • Visit off remote/offsite locations to address IT-related issues.
  • Any other task assigned by the Manager IT.

Required Competencies

  • The ability to trouble shoot IT systems at modular level
  • Knowledge of the operating characteristics of Desktop operating systems, MAC, Linux and troubleshooting skills related to it
  • Proficient knowledge of networking, hardware & software
  • Team player with the ability to work cross functionally
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Education & Experience

  • A Bachelors’ Degree in IT or Computer Engineering with at least 1-2 years’ experience in related field

Position Description

The incumbent is responsible for managing to Networks and its related support functions. This position takes complete guidance from Manager Network and Support for execution of assigned tasks. The position will continue to seek support to ensure strict adherence to IT Network standards and discipline.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, MPLS, and wireless networks.
  • Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement network security policies and access controls.
  • Maintain network documentation, IP addressing, and topology diagrams.
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Servers & VMware or Hyper-V, PCs, Laptops, Printers and applications for both hardware and software.
  • Troubleshooting handheld devices (iOS, Android, Windows, etc.), repair and networks.
  • Management of IP PABX server and coordination with PABX vendor.
  • Management of Head office Data center and DR data center.
  • Coordinating with staff/clients through a series of actions either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues; troubleshooting system, network problems, diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults; replacing parts as required.
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports; following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system; supporting the roll-out of new applications.
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles; responding within agreed time limits to call-outs.
  • Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate); prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
  • Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with users and other professionals, testing and evaluating new technology.
  • Maintain high degree of IT support services for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
  • Travel to remote/offsite locations to handle the IT related issues.

  • Good interpersonal and technical skills.

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelors of Science in Computer Science
  • Minimum 2+ years of overall IT industry experience including 1+ year of hands-on experience in Managing & Troubleshooting Networks, providing support at User End, Installation and configuration of Computer Hardware and Software
